Data Retention After App Uninstallation

Information on storage and availability of your invoice data after contract termination

When you cancel or uninstall Easy Invoices, the following regulations apply to your invoice data. Please note that as a shop owner, you have the legal retention obligation and should export your data in a timely manner.

3-Month Grace Period for Data Access

After uninstalling or canceling the app, we grant you a grace period of 3 months during which you can export your data. Access exclusively through support: - Contact support@easy-invoices.app - Proof of your shop owner identity required - No self-service portal - all requests are manually reviewed - Export of all invoices as ZIP file possible Important: Be sure to use this period to export all data and save it locally!

Automatic Deletion After 3 Months

After the 3-month grace period expires, all your data will be automatically and irrevocably deleted. What will be deleted: - All invoice PDFs - All metadata (invoice numbers, amounts, etc.) - Template configurations - SMTP settings - All other customer-related data No recovery possible: After deletion, we cannot recover your data. Please export all important data in time!

Your Legal Retention Obligation

As the invoice issuer (shop owner), you have the legal obligation to retain your invoices for 10 years (§ 147 Para. 1 No. 1 AO). Easy Invoices is not responsible: - We are a software service provider, not the invoice issuer - The retention obligation lies with you as the shop owner - We provide you with the tools, you are responsible for archiving Recommendation: - Export all invoices regularly (monthly/yearly) - Store exports securely (local backups, cloud storage) - Consult your accountant for proper archiving

Identity Verification for Data Access

To access your data after cancellation, proof is required that you are or were the shop owner. Verification process: - Contact via email from the address registered with Shopify - Provide your Shopify shop domain - If needed: Screenshot from Shopify admin or other proof - Processing time: 24-72 hours on business days Security: These measures serve to protect your data from unauthorized access.
