How the integration works: from order to accountant

The integration runs fully automatically in the background. You no longer type invoices by hand or assemble CSV files manually.

Order in Shopify

A customer checks out in your store. Shopify sends the order webhook with all line items, tax rates and customer data to Easy Invoices.

Invoice is generated

Once the order is paid (incl. advance payment), Easy Invoices automatically creates a sequentially numbered, GoBD-compliant invoice (PDF) with all mandatory fields under §14 UStG.

Do I still need software like Lexware or Taxdoo?

No. Easy Invoices covers invoice creation, audit-proof (revisionssicher) 10-year archiving and a document export in a single app — right inside the Shopify admin. You can still forward the exported PDF documents to Lexware, DATEV, sevDesk or other accounting systems if that is what your tax advisor uses.

Are different EU tax rates supported?

Yes. The integration applies the correct per-line VAT rates from Shopify and handles reverse charge (§13b), export exemption (§4 Nr. 1a UStG), Kleinunternehmer (§19) and Differenzbesteuerung (§25a) — keeping your invoices traceable.
